At Artbook , the independent contemporary arts books and magazine source at MoMA PS1, I worked with freelancers, staff, my supervisors and Retail Manager Skuta Helgason in the daily operational needs of the store. Experience in weekly social media posting, inventory restock and event setup were among some of the skills gained. See my final project below.

We are now carrying a selection of Awkward Ladies Club publications in the Magazine Store! Awkward Ladies Club is the publishing project of Amy Burek, an artist and scientist living in the San Francisco Bay area. Awkward Ladies Club explores how technology has shaped the ways we communicate, interact with each other and perceive ourselves. Through projects like Never Date Dudes From The Internet, a compilation of Craigslist ads by men from 2005, to Is This Normal, which collects pregnancy and parenting advice from internet forums, Awkward Ladies Club zines looks into the divide between our virtual and physical selves and believes the wackiest corners of the internet deserve documentation. Learn more about Burek and Awkward Ladies Club at awkwardladiesclub.com. To accompany our selection of zines, a publication on post-internet art will be made by Artbook intern Daniel Nguyen, featuring an essay on art publishing and interviews with post-internet artist Molly Soda, network culture scholar Paul Soulellis and lifestyle editor of The Tenth Magazine, a biannual publication on the Black LBGTQ community, Nolan Tesis. Look for it this April in the Magazine Store! @awkwardladies @dalanium
